Medical Care Directives and a Living Will

Living Will & Medical Directives

These documents are useful to give instructions about your wishes related to medical care in the event you become incapacitated.  Incapacity could be temporary or permanent.  In either case we use living wills, medical directives and advance care directives to give instructions to others about your wishes for treatment.

Do you want to receive medical care to preserve your life no matter the cost, and even if it is likely that even if you survive it may be in a vegetative state?  Should you pass away do you want to be an organ donor?  These are the kind of issues that we use these documents for in giving instructions consistent with your wishes.
